Reading Suggestions
The following reading suggestion list is always evolving as new materials become available and as science continues to peel back the mysteries of human and canine behavior. A Step Beyond does not receive any benefit by suggesting specific books or authors. Each book and its author is placed on the list based on the quality of the information, the science-based applications provided and the overall care to provide up-to-date dog-friendly training protocols.
We recognize that no one book will solve all problems, and that any book is only as good as the author’s commitment to accuracy and continuing professional development. We have attempted to provide a thought-provoking list of books that are worth the investment of your time, money and energy. We have attempted to avoid books that promote reductionist or cookie cutter behavior and training protocols as it is our opinion that the network of factors that impact and change both human and animal behavior are extremely complex.
These books can be sourced via Amazon.com, alibris.com, abebooks.com, allbookstores.com and dogwise.com.
